Your first agent in 5 minutes
This guide takes you from zero to a live agent answering on your favorite channel. No code required. If you already have an account, sign in and skip to step 2.
You'll need: a Daguito account (free), 5 minutes, and a channel where you want to deploy your agent — the web widget is the fastest, and if you have WhatsApp Business API you can plug it in on the last step.
1. Create your account and workspace
Go to app.daguito.com and sign up with your work email. On first login we'll ask for your organization name — this defines the workspace where your agents, flows and knowledge bases will live.
The free plan includes credits to try every model. No credit card required at signup.
2. Create your first agent
From the dashboard, click Agents → New agent. Daguito opens the flow editor with an AI Agent node already wired to a trigger. That's your brain.
Configure the agent
Click the AI Agent node. In the side panel set three things:
- System prompt — who your agent is and how it should speak (e.g. "You are the Tienda Andina assistant. Be kind, brief and never promise shipping without confirming stock").
- Model — leave the default (DeepSeek v4 flash) to start cheap and fast. You can change it later.
- Memory key — keep it on messages. That's where Daguito stores the conversation history.
3. Connect your knowledge (optional)
If you want your agent to answer about your products, manuals or policies, upload them to a knowledge base.
Go to Knowledge → New base. Upload PDFs, connect a website or paste URLs. Daguito chunks and embeds everything automatically — usually in under a minute.
Back in your flow, drop a Knowledge Search node before the AI Agent and wire the hits output into the agent's context input. Done — it now has your information.
Source citations are optional: turn them on to have the answer show where the information came from. If the agent can't find something, it's almost always because the knowledge base doesn't have that content.
4. Test it in the playground
Top-right of the editor there's a Test button. Open it and start chatting. Each turn shows you which node ran, what data flowed through each branch, and how much it cost. If something is off, tweak the system prompt or adjust nodes without leaving the screen.
If the agent is slow or wrong: check the system prompt first, then the knowledge base. 90% of production issues come from a vague prompt or stale knowledge base content.
5. Publish to a channel
When you're happy with the answers, go to Channels and pick one:
Web widget
We give you one line of code to paste before </body>. The widget appears as a floating bubble and is already talking to your agent.
<script
src="https://widget.daguito.com/v1/widget.js"
data-agent-id="agent_xxxxx"
async
></script> WhatsApp Business
Connect your WhatsApp Business API number. We walk you through Meta's verification. Once verified, every inbound message triggers your flow.
API or SDK
If you want it inside your own app, install the SDK in JS, Python or Go and call the agent with your account key.
// JavaScript / TypeScript
import { Daguito } from '@daguito/sdk'
const daguito = new Daguito({ accountKey: process.env.DAGUITO_KEY })
const reply = await daguito.agents.chat({
agentId: 'agent_xxxxx',
message: 'Hola, ¿tienen envío a Bogotá?',
})
console.log(reply.text)
